Help us remember Tuvia MeirThe unexpected loss of Tuvia Meir ben Zechariah Boaz Fagan z"l prompted the Fagan family to take on something significant in his memory, and that quickly became a project to put more "good light" (as his name suggests) into the world. There can be no better or more direct vehicle for that than writing a sefer Torah and making sure it's put to regular use.
Our family did not find any formal charitable structure for such a project already in place, so we're working to set up that structure for anyone who wants to do this in the future. For now, we're just moving ahead as best we can. We have a sofer personally known to Tuvia's parents and committed to the project in Israel, and have identified potential places where the Torah can be housed and put to use. Many have expressed an interest in participating in this mitzvah along with us, and the wish to donate somewhere in Tuvia's memory. Chicago Breslov has graciously stepped into the breach to help. Again, without any expectations, the Fagan family is grateful. |
